EASY SLOW COOKER BEER POT ROAST
prep time: 15 minscook time: 2 hourtotal time: 2 hours and 15 mins
A slow cooker stew with beer and tender meat
ingredients:
1 (3 pound) Chuck Roast or other cut of meat you like
1 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Dried oregano
Fresh chopped parsley
2 fresh kuman leaves
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary
4 cloves garlic, cut into thick slivers
1/2 cup beef broth or bottled gravy
1 bottle any kind of beer I use dark beers
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
oregano and garlic powder
1 teaspoon flour or cornstarch
1 tablespoon butter
4 cubes potatoes
2 cups baby carrots
1 cup mushrooms
Optional: 1 pound cleaned and cut green beans or baby onion
instructions:
Place the liquid ingredients in the slow cooker Put the slow cooker on high for 6 to 8 hours. Put the hard uncooked vegetables on the bottom, then add the roast on top. Add herbs, spices, butter and garlic on the top of the roast. Sprinkle the top with flour. Around the last half hour I add the mushrooms and beans if using.
